Fairtrade Feast

 Sustainable Wales is set to hold another of its legendary Fairtrade Feasts at 7.00pm on Saturday 6th March at the Atlantic Hotel, Porthcawl.

This dinner is taking place as part of Bridgend County’s celebrations to mark Fairtrade Fortnight 2010. BridgendCounty is applying for fairtrade status and we hope to be successful in the near future. Fairtrade makes a real difference to producers in developing countries and we encourage you to make the swap.

Sustainable Wales Fairtrade Feast 2010 Menu

March 6th @ The Atlantic Hotel, Portchawl

 

GrowFair cauliflower and Y Fenni soup with parsnip crisps

Locally farmed egg mimosa served on an organic beetroot and asparagus salad with a Welsh mustard
dressing

Pan fried local mackerel fillet with a Penclawdd cockle and lava bread cake, with apple and plum
chutney

Oven roasted local chicken breast, bacon wrapped with Fairtrade bananas,

GrowFair leek and potato rosti, served with and organic plum tomato sauce

Steamed organic salmon steak with a Fairtrade white wine, dill and cream sauce, duchesse
potatoes and a selection of GrowFair vegetables

Roasted organic root vegetables drizzled with Welsh honey on a Fairtrade vegetable paella, with a
chilli dressing

Fairtrade banoffee cheesecake with caramel sauce using

Fairtrade sugar and Fairtrade banana crisps

Mocha mousse gateau served with a warm Fairtrade chocolate sauce
and Fairtrade coffee ice cream

Fairtrade rose wine jelly set with berries and served with

Brazil nut cookies and Ty Tanglwyst cream
